Side by side split image of two people, Andy and Meesh, in black & white. On the left, Meesh looks off in the distance towards the left edge of the image. She is wearing a striped sweater, and her curly hair falls past her shoulder as it covers her right eye. On the right, is Andy, a white man with a full beard. He is wearing his favorite cardigan sweater with a button up shirt which has a very "comprehensive" pattern of floral design. Andy's eyes are closed. He has diamond stud earrings. And his hair is parted to the left. They are both photoshopped on top of a white backdrop. An orange circle is overlaid on top of this image. In the top right corner of the circle is black text on an orange background that reads "Reviewing 43819.782 3.74–9." There is also black text on orange background in the bottom left corner of the circle that reads "2024 MAP GRANTEE."

Meesh Sara Fradkin (CDS Visiting Research Scholar) and Andy Slater are the recipients of a 2024 MAP Fund grant for a sound installation and performance, fiscally sponsored by Experimental Sound Studio.

MAP Fund is one of the longest running, private funding sources for new performance works. Experimental Sound Studio is a Chicago-based nonprofit organization dedicated to artistic evolution and the creative exploration of sound.

“Reviewing 43819.782 3.74–9” by Fradkin and Slater will be an interactive, immersive, and multisensory sound installation and performance, where the actions or inactions of audience members in the waiting room inform parameters of the score in the performance room.
